Winter's End
by Carrie Stuart Parks - Feb 27th 2009 05:18 PM

I had really hoped the snow would finally start to melt and I could see ground again. Instead, it snowed this morning plus I'm being hammered by a cold. I just know that SOMEWHERE the sun is shining.

We have classes scheduled through August, and several of them are new. The courtroom sketching class is coming up next and it will be very exciting. We'll actually be going into a courtroom at the end of the week. As far as I can tell, this is the only class of its kind in the country.

We're working on our children's drawing and painting DVD's and they're looking wonderful, with Frank Peretti directing and Barb Peretti doing about ten other tasks. In July we'll offer two classes for teachers (with credit no less!) where they will get the DVD's at the end of the class.

My novel is progressing and I can finally see a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel. This is a complete re-write of a story I started five years ago. i've spent the past few years honing the craft of fiction writing.

Rick is deep into art, getting new paintings ready, and watching hockey every chance he gets. (go Sharks!)

'nuff said. Have a sunny day for me.
