Facial Reconstruction

Facial reconstruction (or facial approximations) is a technique using tissue depth markers to reconstruct the face of an unknown person. It may be done with clay or as a drawing.

Unknown remains is the term used for unknown persons where there is enough left on the face to make a sketch based on the photograph or viewing of the body. Drawings are useful especially when the face has suffered trauma that can cause distortion. Drawings are preferred to release to the press because the actual photo of a body is too graphic.Facial Reconstruction
